Spice Harris, August 19, 1999 – June 13, 2015. Spice was beautiful addition to our family 9 years ago when her first mother had to find a new home for her. I loved her meow and how she purred so loud you could hear her on the opposite side of the room. When we would pet her, if we stopped, but she wasn’t ready, she would grab our hands and hug them. You couldn’t open a can without her popping up out of nowhere. Spice always responded when you called her name. Due to her mad skills with her paws, even if they were declawed, she kept our two dogs in line. Spice didn’t drink like a normal cat. She dipped her paws in her water bowl and would lick her wet paw. Of all the things, that I miss most about my baby is her curling up with me while in bed or sleeping on my back as I watched TV or read a book. She would sit in my desk chair while I wrote. She kept me going when stuff was tough. I had surgery in April, and she was by my side the whole recovery time. Even at 15 she loved to play with string and catnip. She loved to nap in my husband’s laundry.
She will forever live in my heart and memories. Even now, as I write this, I want to reach over and pet her, but she is no longer there. She is survived by her parents: Matthew and Shannon Harris, her human siblings: Kandi, Eliza, Alyssa, and Conner, and fur sisters, Lilly, Daisy, Lil’ Bit, and Sophie.
Rest in peace my angel! Mommy loves you furever and always!

What a lovely tribute you wrote to your Spice. I just lost my kitty Herman on August 13, and I really know how deep your loss is. Take care, and God bless.
