Oliver Tanner King
Oliver passed away on Nov 11, 2016 at the age of 11 due to sudden onset of congestive heart failure and lymphatic cancer. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge with his Momma holding his paw. Also in attendance was his human sibling, Katie, along with his Aunt Jenny and Grandma.
Oliver leaves behind his Mom, Jackie King, his human sister, Katie King, his Grandma Linda, Grandma Sandy, Grandpa Bud, his human cousins Emily & Amber, his Aunt Jenny & Uncle David, and 3 fur siblings… Jessie, Simba, and Paul-Claire. He leaves paw prints on our hearts forever.
Oliver led a rather rough life. It’s believed he came from a puppy mill. When he was 10 months old, he fractured his front leg. Not soon after that, he jumped from momma’s arms & broke the leg. He required orthopedic surgery with a plate & pins. A few years later, he was stepped on & that same leg was broken just above the plate requiring surgery yet again. In 2014, he fell off the bed & broke his hind leg in 3 places…surgery again. 2 of the 3 breaks healed completely but the one closest to his hip joint did not. He was never able to bend that leg so he rarely used it. We called it his “lame leg”. He still managed to get around and play with his favorite toy… mini tennis balls! If he saw a tennis ball, there was no stopping him. He wanted to play for hours.
Oliver was pretty spoiled. If he was left home alone, he would cry. If he went any where with us and Mom got out of sight, he would whimper until she returned. He loved to sleep in bed right up against Mom even though we had a queen size bed. Biggest bed hog ever!
Oliver, you were loved so very much & will be missed more than you can ever imagine. My heart is breaking because you were my first “child” and no more will I come home to that little wagging nub. Until we met again little buddy…on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Oliver... I will miss our sessions of playing ball and the way you would get mad at me when I kept your Mom out later than you would have liked. You are were a huge part of many lives and we will miss you more than you know. I\'m glad to know that you are pain-free,

Oh Dear Little Sweet Oliver! How We will miss You!0/ Your pictures of You with Your little tongue hanging out the side of Your mouth and Your whole mouth filled with Your tennis balls just waiting for someone to take it and throw it for You! So very sorry for the loss of your baby. Nothing can replace Oliver or his memories from your hearts. Having just gone through the loss of my baby 2 months ago I can tell you it is the hardest thing I have ever dealt with but with so many people who cared enough to say a few kind words and let me know their stories as well, it has helped me tremendously knowing we all love our babies just like they are human and sometimes more. I pray for your pain to ease as you keep his wonderful pictures and memories and celebrate his life even as you mourn his loss from your life. He is waiting for you and you will be with him again.
