Brutus Lee Blackburn, 10, of Avon – originally from Lafayette, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, July 4th. He is greatly missed. Brutus was a happy, playful doggie – but even as a puppy, he had a tendency to be a “brut” when playing with his canine sisters, Pudgie and Weeza…and his canine momma, Tula. Brutus was born on 9/3/05, just 60 days after his 7/4/05 conception. His canine daddy “Lucky Dog” certainly did get “lucky” on his 15th birthday. Brutus loved eating – anything and everything. He was also a huge fan of the tennis ball and chasing his feline siblings Miss Priss and Pretty Boy. Brutus dearly loved his human family as well. He enjoyed spending time with his dad, Rob – in Lafayette, while watching late night TV and enjoying a snack. He could also be counted on to be the best snuggle buddy and intuitive dog with his mom Patti. Then there was Taylor. She was his favorite. Sweet as pie and he protected her like she was his own daughter or sister. This family’s bestest fur person…Boo Boo Booty – you are greatly missed. Preceded in death by “Lucky Dog”, “Pudgie” and “Weeza”.
