In Loving Memory of Libby
Our Sassy, Sweet, Small but Mighty Girl
12.5 Beautiful Years
Libby was more than a pet. She was family. A constant presence in our lives and the closest thing to a human in fur. With her sassy little attitude and a playful spirit that never dimmed, she brought joy, laughter, and love into our home every single day.
She had her own way of doing things. Independent and often to herself, but never too far away, especially when food was involved. The sound of chopping vegetables or pots clanging in the kitchen would always bring her out, just in time for a belly rub or a hopeful sniff at whatever was cooking. And if you were going somewhere, you better believe Libby was ready for a car ride. She loved getting out, making her rounds, and simply being part of the moment.
In her later days, Libby became a bit more antisocial, quietly keeping to herself. But she still had her sweet routines. She always came out when my husband Jamie got home from work, just for belly rubs. She never missed a chance to be near him. Our youngest son, Jace, adored her so much that he would sometimes lock her in his room just to keep her close, especially when we would all be calling her name and wondering where she had gone.
Mornings won’t be the same without her gentle scratch at the bed, waking me up, or the way she would hop out of her own bed to join me as I got the kids up. She was always close, often found snuggled up in Jayden’s bed, just happy to be near the people she loved most.
Libby made her mark on everyone she met. She wasn’t just the family dog. She was family. A tiny guardian. A loyal shadow. A source of comfort and joy. A little star who loved making surprise appearances in my YouTube videos. She had real feelings, a presence you could feel, and a spirit that brought warmth into every room.
Our hearts are heavy, but we are so grateful for the time we had with her. The house feels different now, quieter, but her love and the memories she gave us will never fade. She was everything to us.
We will always love you Libby.
Thank you for being ours.
